From County Kilkenny, Ireland, this 12 feet high sandstone cross is found in the old Killamery churchyard. The center section has knot work turning into two dragons or serpents. Another set of dragons ends in a spiral. The knot work is symbolic of eternity and an expression of the interconnectedness of all things. Dragons were thought to have the knowledge of the world and protected the earth and its inhabitants. The spiral symbolizes continuous creation and spiritual growth. The cross measures 10 1/2 inches X 5 1/2 inches, story card included, made in the USA.
