Shipping & Returns
Our goal is to ship all orders within 48 business hours (except for Tartan products which are discussed below under SHIPMENT OF TARTAN PRODUCTS). Orders are shipped using the United States Postal Service, Priority Mail, with Insurance and Delivery Confirmation. You will receive an email with the Delivery Tracking Number after your order is shipped. Priority Mail usually takes 2 to 3 business days to arrive at your destination in the United States. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs, which will be displayed prior to check out. Due to International Mail restrictions, the Highland Trading Company ships only within the United States.
SHIPMENT OF TARTAN PRODUCTS
Your Tartan order will be shipped to you directly by Lochcarron of Scotland, Selkirk, Scotland. Orders are shipped using the United Parcel Service (UPS) Express. UPS WILL NOT SHIP TO A P.O. BOX. Therefore you must provide a physical shipping address which is not a P.O. Box when you checkout. Failure to do so will cause a delay in your order.
Please note the estimated manufacture and shipment times for each Lochcarron product. Custom made products require additional time so plan ahead! Highland Trading Company cannot guarantee delivery times. Unfortunately, unforeseen delays are out of our control.
Lochcarron pays a duty fee up front. Therefore, Extra Duty Charges are not anticipated. However, we cannot predict changes in Tariff or Trade relations. Therefore, the customer is responsible for any additional Duty Charges.
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
We want our customers to be pleased with their purchase. Highland Trading Company inspects each item as we receive it, and when we ship it to you. Products purchased from the Highland Trading Company may be returned for a refund or exchange, providing the product is in the same new condition. The Highland Trading Company reserves the right to determine if a returned item is in the same new condition. Items which we determine are not in the same new condition will be returned to the customer. Returns and exchanges must be requested within 7 days after receipt by the customer.
Exceptions to this are Special Orders and Earrings which may not be returned. For health and hygiene reasons, Earrings are not returnable since they are for pierced ears. This is to protect the health of our customers and so that customers may be confident that their purchase has not been worn by another person.
If you wish to return or exchange an item, please Contact Us for a Return Code Number. Returns and exchanges must have a Return Code Number. Please provide the purchasers name, contact information, item purchased and invoice number in your email. The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping your return or exchange, unless it is our mistake. Please Insure and use Delivery Confirmation as we cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items.
After obtaining a Return Code Number, please send returns and exchanges to the address below. Please include a copy of the original invoice. Returns or exchanges will not be given without a copy of the original invoice. PLEASE NOTE: Tartan products are not returned to Highland Trading Company. If you are returning a Tartan Product from Lochcarron of Scotland, contact us for shipping instructions.

Please inspect your goods upon delivery, especially if the packaging looks damaged. If your shipment is damaged in transit, please notify the United States Postal Service regarding a claim, and retain all packing material and paperwork for your shipment and contact Highland Trading Company immediately.

Highland Trading Company cannot guarantee delivery times on SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS or back ordered items. Unfortunately, unforeseen delays are out of our control. We will make every effort to deliver your purchase as soon as possible.
